The mid day sun was difficult…but the weather was good and we got some good shots in one of my favorite locations.

 

Polka Dots & Sunshine

The sunshine was perfect for this shoot.  Katja did make up again but the girls accessorized themselves.  I love the Converse.   The yellow of the machinery complemented both of the girls eyes.  I also love the juxtaposition between their sundresses and the industrial monster we found in the back yard.

 

The picture above is one of my absolute favorite pictures of the girls so far.  The sun was starting to get warm already but it was an almost perfect setting.  On two separate occasions a bike accident nearly occurred behind us.

   

I try to capture a bit of character when I shoot…finding unexpected moments and unusual viewpoints.

Marisa’s Girls – one year later

This year the weather was turbulent, the lighting was difficult and the monster in the closet was…a little concerning; but we had fun and got a few good pics.  It’s hard to believe a year has gone by already.

Katja volunteered to do Natalie’s hair and make up…she also came up with the scarf.

What I thought would be a half-hour session outside turned into a three hour one which only ended because of the rain and the boys’ inability to listen.
